WEB DESK: A tragic accident occurred on Monday as a bus transporting Indian Umrah pilgrims from Makkah to Madinah collided with an oil tanker, resulting in the loss of 42 lives.
Local authorities promptly arrived at the scene, initiating rescue operations that are still ongoing. The number of casualties and the process of identifying the victims remain under verification.
Indian media reports indicate that 16 of the victims were from Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana.
The bus was reportedly carrying a total of 43 pilgrims, including 20 women and 11 children. Devastatingly, only one individual is believed to have survived the incident.
