Kindom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Turkey, Sudan, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Indonesia, and Malaysia are also celebrating Eidul Fitr today.
The Moonsighting Committee in Australia has finally declared that Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday.
“Based on the view of the majority of the members, the 1st of Shawwal 1439 will be on Saturday 16th June,” it said in a Twitter statement after hours of deliberations.
“Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid New Dehli announced that Eid will be celebrated on June 16 Saturday as there was no sight of moon in India.
In Virginia, USA, the Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center announced its Eid celebrations would be on Saturday, June 16.
