Saudi Arabia introduces multi-entry umrah visa valid for one year

RIYADH: In a move to enhance the pilgrim experience, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the launch of a new multiple-entry Umrah visa, allowing pilgrims to enter the kingdom multiple times over a 365-day period. The visa permits a total stay of up to 90 days across all visits, according to an official statement from the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

This initiative supports Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 goals and the Pilgrim Experience Programme by streamlining entry processes, enriching pilgrim journeys, and boosting service efficiency. Pilgrims wishing to utilize the visa must purchase a service package through an authorized provider via the Nusuk platform, with the package duration aligning with the remaining validity of the visa.

Prior to arriving in the kingdom, travelers are required to secure an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app. The visa is deactivated after each departure and reactivated upon compliance with the necessary regulations for subsequent visits. However, it will be inactive during the Hajj season, from the beginning of Zilqad until the 13th of Zilhajj.

The new visa aims to provide greater flexibility for pilgrims in planning their visits, while also supporting the integration of digital and operational services throughout their journey in accordance with Vision 2030 objectives.
