Saudi naval Commander meets Pakistan navy chief, commits to enhancing defense cooperation

RAWALPINDI: Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Pakistan’s Chief of Naval Staff, welcomed Vice Admiral Mohammad Bin Abdul Rehman Al-Ghoraybi, Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, during his visit to Pakistan. The two leaders discussed key areas of mutual interest, regional security challenges, and ways to bolster bilateral collaboration.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Vice Admiral Al-Ghoraybi was received with a ceremonial guard at the Naval Headquarters, where a contingent of the Pakistan Navy showcased a guard of honor.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf emphasized Pakistan Navy’s dedication to promoting peace and stability in the region through its Regional Maritime Security Patrols. The Saudi naval commander expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s contributions to maritime security and regional stability, highlighting the high-quality training Saudi cadets receive at the Pakistan Naval Academy.

During the meeting, both officials reaffirmed their commitment to expanding defense cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The Saudi naval chief’s visit is seen as a move to further deepen military ties and foster stronger strategic relations between the two countries’ armed forces
