Karachi: As many as Rs 588 billion debt of government declined in one month after which now debts have become Rs 54, 354 billion, the state bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued details of the country’s internal and external debts .
As per the SBP documents short term local debts of Rs 396 billion including t-bills have decreased.
According to the SBP, with decrease of Rs 405 billion the debts have reached Rs 20, 282 billion while long term local debts have increased by Rs 218 billion.
In January 2023, the volume of the government debts were at Rs 54, 942 billion while the government debts in February were declined to Rs 54, 354 after reduction of Rs 588 billion.
