ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Monday announced its verdict in a case pertaining to sentence suspension and eligibility to contest in polls.

In a detailed verdict of the SC, Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan in his remarks said that a man whose sentence has been suspended by the court will remain ineligible for contesting in the election unless the sentence would be declared null and void.
The court in eight pages verdict has told that the suspension of the sentence will not affect the causes of ineligibility unless the court itself allows anyone to contest in the polls in special circumstances and the ineligibility will sustain unless the sentence will be terminated.
