Islamabad: On a delay of provincial elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) has taken suo moto notice and its hearing will be held today.
A full Nine-member bench of SCP in chair of Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandiyal will hear the suo motto notice.
In its hearing the top court will review three questions, firstly, who is responsible for giving dates of election after dissolution of the assemblies? secondly, when and how constitutional powers have to be used? thirdly, what is the responsibility of the federation and provinces related to general elections?
