ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Wednesday rejected a petition against punishment given to murder accused.
The murder accused Ilyas Kundi and Shams Tanveer had killed Ali Sher back in 2006.
A three-member bench of the SC in the chair of Chief Justice heard a murder case occurred in Mehala Usman Nagar in District Lahore.
According to the court, Muhammad Ilyas Kundi and Shams Tanveer had killed Ali Sher back on September 12, 2006, while Muneer Ahmed had killed witness of the murder Rana Rizwan by multiple stabbing knives.
Supreme Court retaining the LHC earlier bench verdict rejected the petition against the punishment.
The trial court had awarded life imprisonment to Muhammad Ilyas Kundi and the LHC retained the verdict while Shams Tanveer had been awarded death penalty by the trial court while the LHC has changed his death sentence into life imprisonment.
The trial court had awarded Accused Muneer Ahmed a six-month in prison.
