ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday will announce its previously reserved judgment in Royal-Palm Club case.
As per details, SC on Wednesday had ordered to club all the cases pertaining to railways land and adjourned the hearing till an indefinite period of time.
A day earlier, a three-member bench of the SC headed by Justice Azmat Saeed heard a case pertaining to the land lease case of the Pakistan Railways.
Justice Azmat Saeed in his remarks said that Railways minister had himself told the court that none of the railways’ lands will be leased to anyone for more than five years. To which, railways lawyer told the court that it will cause a loss to the institution as no businessman is willing to invest for such limited time.
At which, Justice Azmat Saeed in his remarks asserted that once there was a time when railways have too much land but the department failed to handle its property. Railways should return the unused land to the government the top court ordered.
During the hearing, Justice Azmat Saeed ordered to club all the cases pertaining to the land lease of railways’ land and told that the court will announce the previously pending case of the ‘Royal-Palm Club’.
