Islamabad (July 11, 2017): The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has demanded the Prime Minister’s resignation and called its important meeting on July 14 in this connection, while lawyers have the stance PM can face disqualification if SC term the JIT report, which was submitted to SC on Monday revealing glaring discrepancies in Sharif family assets and means of sources, valid.
President of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Rasheed A Rizvi warned that PM Nawaz Sharif can be trapped in real trouble if did not resign as PM should morally resign without wasting time.
He informed that SCBA’s important meeting has been called on July 14 to review the situation in this regard.
On the other hand, legal experts have the view that SC has given complete powers to JIT for investigate the Sharif family wealth and now SC can endorse the JIT finding after reviewing report.
Legal experts went on saying that Supreme Court will review the JIT report and it can multiply the worries for PM Nawaz Sharif if apex court satisfied with the findings of the report.
