ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced that it will remain open and fully functional on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, despite the local holiday declared by the Islamabad administration.
Although the district authorities have declared August 13 as a holiday within Islamabad’s revenue limits, the Supreme Court clarified that it will continue its judicial and administrative activities as per its regular schedule.
An official statement from the Supreme Court stated, “Based on the notification from the Office of the District Magistrate, Islamabad Capital Territory, designating August 13, 2025, as a local holiday (excluding essential service offices), it is reaffirmed that the Supreme Court, as a constitutional body, will operate without interruption.”
Stakeholders, including litigants and lawyers, have been advised to proceed with their scheduled hearings and official duties as usual
