FAISALABAD: Pakistan has set South Africa a target of 270 runs in the second match of the three-match One Day International (ODI) series.
Pakistan posted a total of 269 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Salman Agha scored 69 runs, while Muhammad Nawaz contributed 59, making significant contributions.The match is being played at the Iqbal Cricket Stadium in Faisalabad. Winning the toss, Pakistan elected to bat first against the visiting South African team.
Pakistan’s Innings
South Africa’s bowlers made an impressive start by dismantling Pakistan’s top order. Opener Fakhar Zaman was dismissed for a duck, while Babar Azam scored 11 and Muhammad Rizwan scored 4, both returning to the pavilion early.After losing three wickets, Salman Agha and Saim Ayub steadied the innings with responsible batting, forming partnerships and scoring half-centuries. However, Saim scored 53 and Salman Agha scored 69 before being dismissed, and Hussain Talat also departed after scoring 10.
In the closing overs, Muhammad Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf played responsible knocks. Nawaz scored 59, while Faheem contributed 28 before getting out.
Pakistan finished their innings at 269 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan won the first match of the series. The second match is scheduled today, and the third will be held on November 8 at Iqbal Stadium.
