KARACHI: Section 144 has been imposed on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr in Karachi to cope with any untoward incident.
The department of home Sindh imposed section 144 for 30 days of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) with effect from June 5, ahead of Eid, under which aerial firing, one-wheeling and racing will be prohibited to avoid accidents.
Section 144 also restricted the picnickers to have a bath at Sea View, Hawks bay and Hub canal.
