RAWALPINDI: Security forces carried out an operation in Dera Ismail Khan, during which 10 terrorists were eliminated.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, Captain Hasnain Akhtar has been martyred during an exchange of fire with terrorists. Captain Hasnain Akhtar hailed from Jhelum.
The ISPR stated that the 24-year-old captain, who was leading his team, sacrificed his life for the motherland during a fierce firefight with terrorists and attained the noble rank of martyrdom.
Captain Hasnain was known for his fearless and courageous decisions, and he had previously displayed remarkable performance in several successful operations.
According to the ISPR, a significant amount of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the terrorists killed during the operation. These terrorists were involved in attacks against law enforcement agencies and targeted killings of innocent civilians.
The ISPR mentioned that clearance operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area, and the Pakistan Armed Forces are committed to eradicating the curse of terrorism from the country.
The statement emphasized that the sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
