PESHAWAR: Security forces killed13 militants in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the military’s media wing.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the actions were carried out on March 30, 2026, targeting elements described as “Fitna Al Khwarij.”
In one operation in the Bara area of Khyber District, security forces engaged militant hideouts, resulting in the killing of 10 fighters after an intense exchange of fire.
In a separate encounter in Bannu District, three more militants were neutralized during a gun battle.
The military added that follow-up clearance operations are underway to ensure no remaining militants are present. Officials reiterated that the ongoing counterterrorism drive under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative will continue with full force to eradicate militancy from the country.
