Security forces eliminates 34 Indian-backed terrorists across the country

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani security agencies have recently conducted a series of targeted operations across the country, resulting in the neutralization of 34 terrorists, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). These operations primarily focused on dismantling terrorist elements operating under Indian sponsorship, including groups known as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustaan.

Over the past few days, Pakistani security forces launched high-intensity, intelligence-led operations as part of an ongoing counterterrorism initiative aimed at rooting out Indian proxies and extremist factions such as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustaan.

On February 24, 2026, security forces killed 26 Khawarij militants linked to Indian-backed Fitna al-Khawarij in four separate encounters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Additionally, in Sambaza, Balochistan, eight militants affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan were eliminated during an engagement.

Intelligence reports indicated movement of a Khawarij group attempting to infiltrate from the Pakistan-Afghanistan border near Hassan Khel in North Waziristan. The security forces intercepted and engaged the group effectively, resulting in the death of one militant identified as an Afghan national associated with Indian proxy forces.

In another operation in Lakki Marwat District, security personnel conducted an intelligence-based raid, resulting in the elimination of three militants following a fierce exchange of fire. Simultaneously, in Narmi Khel, Bannu District, security forces neutralized ten militants, while in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, they eliminated twelve terrorists based on precise intelligence.

In Zhob District’s Sambaza area, an operation targeting Fitna al-Hindustan militants led to the successful elimination of eight terrorists after an intense firefight.

Weapons and ammunition seized from these terrorists confirm their active involvement in various terrorist activities, with many identified as foreign-sponsored operatives.

Pakistani security agencies reaffirm their unwavering resolve to defend national sovereignty. Ongoing sanitization operations are actively targeting any remaining foreign-backed militants. Under the national vision “Azm e Istehkam,” the counterterrorism campaign, endorsed by the Federal Apex Committee and the National Action Plan, will persist relentlessly until the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism is completely eradicated from Pakistan.
