BAHAWALPURE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested three terrorists who were working for the Indian intelligence agency RAW and linked to the extremist group Fitan al-Khawarij.
According to CTD spokespersons, the arrested terrorists planned to carry out terrorist activities during Eid in Lahore, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, and Pakpatan.The spokespersons disclosed that the detainees include Azam, Amjad, and Mandoor, and the suspects had illegally crossed the border to meet with RAW representatives in Rajasthan and Srinagar.
They also revealed that the terrorists were sending maps of key locations via WhatsApp to RAW. Furthermore, heavy amounts of explosive materials and arms were recovered from the terrorists.The CTD Faisalabad has registered a case against the terrorists and initiated an investigation.
