RAWALPINDI: Security forces carried out an intelligence-driven operation in Bannu District on November 24, 2025, following reports of the presence of Khwarij associated with the Indian-backed group, Fitna al Khwarij.
During the operation, troops engaged the suspected Khwarij position, leading to an intense exchange of fire. As a result, twenty-two militants were neutralized.
In the aftermath, a sanitization operation is underway to identify and eliminate any remaining Indian-supported Khwarij operatives in the area.
This mission is part of Pakistan’s ongoing Counter-Terrorism campaign, “Azm-e-Istehkam,” initiated under the National Action Plan and endorsed by the Federal Apex Committee.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies remain steadfast in their commitment to eradicating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country with unwavering determination.
