Security forces neutralize two militants in Dera Ismail Khan

RAWALPINDI: In a successful crackdown, security forces in Dera Ismail Khan have eliminated two militants during a precise operation.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out on December 24 in the Kalaachi area of Dera Ismail Khan targeting 

insurgents suspected to be present there.The ISPR explained that the operation was intelligence-led, initiated after credible information about the militants’ presence. During the raid, security personnel effectively struck the militants’ hideouts, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.

The military’s spokesperson identified the deceased as Dalaawar terrorists, who had been linked to numerous acts of terrorism. The government had announced a reward of 4 million rupees for information leading to Dalaawar’s arrest or killing.Weapons and explosives were also recovered from the militants’ hideouts, ISPR added. These militants had been involved in various attacks on security forces and the killing of innocent civilians.

The armed forces reiterated that ongoing clearance operations are aimed at eradicating remaining Indian-backed extremists in the region. They affirmed their unwavering commitment to fighting terrorism and maintaining peace and stability in the area.
