Islamabad: Security has been placed on high alert in Islamabad owing to the opposition protest.
A heavy contingent of police have been deployed in the capital while internal thoroughfare has been blocked by placing containers at Faizabad.
Hurdles are also placed on the roads coming from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Hazara.
The administration has also completely closed the metrobus in the capital.
The metrobus service has been closed from Sadar station to the Pakistan secretariat.
On the other hand, opposition parties have annouced their demonstrations against the government today.
The Jamat-e-Islami (JI) will stage a sit-in Islamabad at D-chowk while the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its allied parties will hold demonstrations across the country including Punjab and Islamabad.
