Senate Approves Adjournment Motion Regarding Jadav Stay

Islamabad (June 5, 2017): Senate has approved adjournment motion over  Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was awarded death sentenced by Pakistan’s military court, execution stay by International Court of Justice ( ICJ).

The senator Sirajul Haq tabled adjournment motion during senate session, which started with the chair of Chairman Raza Rabbani, regarding the ICJ order to stay to Indian espionage Kulbhushan Jadhav  execution, later session approved the motion.

Sirajul Haq told the senate that government has not paid its responsibilities over the issue, however it was significant issue and should be taken under debate. During the debate ruling party senator Yaqoob Nasir expressed concerns over the price hike while PPP member Susi plejo said govenment’s loans continuously soaring as sindh government did not given any relief to people.

Taking part in debate senior politiciansaid that corruption has rapidly on the peak as billion not million rupees corruption being done in the country.

“Most corrupt being respected than less corrupt, is a realty which can’t be avoided,” he said adding that the political parties are also giving shelters to corrupts.

 

The House is continuing discussion on the budgetary proposals for the next fiscal year.

Participating in the debate, Sassi Palijo said the government has failed to achieve economic targets set for the fiscal year 2016-17.

She said the government had promised to bring affluent class into the tax-net but it has failed to take any step towards that end. She also expressed concerns over the increase in public debt.

Yaqoob Nasir appreciated the steps taken by the government for bringing improvement in the security and economic situation of the country.

He said massive allocations have been made in the budget for the development of infrastructure and to address the issue of energy crisis.

He proposed that the prices of essential commodities should be reduced in order to provide relief to the common man.

The House will now meet tomorrow morning at 11.
