Senate Committee of Whole House recommends adopting aggressive policy against India

ISLAMABAD: The in-camera meeting of Senate Committee of the Whole House held in Islamabad today recommended the government to adopt an aggressive policy regarding India.

An in-camera meeting of the Senate Committee of the Whole House was held here at Parliament House with Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani in the chair.  Due to pre-occupied engagements, Director General (DG) Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) did not attend the meeting .

Senate Draft Committee presented its report regarding policy guidelines in the meeting.  The committee has recommended the government in the policy guidelines to shun the apologetic policy viz a viz India and adopt aggressive policy to expose the aggressive designs of India.

It also recommended that the Pakistan missions in foreign countries should be activated to apprise the world about the aggressive designs of India.

The member also urged the government to appoint a full-fledged Foreign Minister to highlight Kashmir issue properly.

It was also recommended in the policy guidelines to establish Kashmir desk at foreign missions and contact India’s secular parties.

Chairman Senate told the meeting that DG ISI had informed about his absence from the meeting due to engagements. He said that he would attended the next meeting of the Committee.
