Senators Pay Tribute to Armed Forces as Nation Observes Youm-e-Tashakur

ISLAMABAD: In a heartfelt tribute to the nation’s armed forces, the Senate paid homage as Pakistan commemorated Youm-e-Tashakur, celebrating its recent military success over India during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. The session, held at the Parliament House in Islamabad, was presided over by Senator Sherry Rehman.

During the proceedings, members highlighted the resilience and strategic prowess of Pakistan’s military. PTI’s Ali Zafar expressed pride in the armed forces, stating, “Pakistan has reemerged as a formidable military power in the region. Our forces delivered a decisive defeat to India, shattering their aspirations of regional dominance.” He also extended gratitude to friendly nations, including China and Turkiye, for their steadfast support during challenging times.

PML-N’s Irfan Siddiqui emphasized Pakistan’s peaceful intentions, asserting, “While we are a peace-loving nation, our armed forces stand prepared to defend the homeland against any misadventure.” Meanwhile, Senator Danesh Kumar, speaking on behalf of minorities, lauded the military’s effective response, saying, “Our armed forces have made us proud before the entire world.”

Other distinguished senators, including Hidayatuallah Khan, Jam Saifullah Khan, Abdul Qadir, Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Raja Nasir Abbas, Humayun Mohmand, and Nasir Mehmoud, also conveyed their support and admiration for the armed forces.The session concluded with the House adjourning until Monday at 4 pm, continuing the national tribute to the courage and dedication of Pakistan’s military personnel.
