Senior Afghan Minister expel from country for speaking in favor of girl’s education.

WEB DESK: senior Abbas Stanikzai, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Taliban government, had criticized the ban on girls’ education imposed by the Taliban government during a speech at a graduation ceremony of a religious school in the Khost province of Afghanistan on January 20.

In his speech, Stanikzai described the ban on women’s education as being against Sharia law. He stated that 20 million people in the country had been wronged, and among Afghanistan’s 40 million population, 20 million are women who are being denied their right to education, which is not in accordance with Sharia.

He raised the question, “On the Day of Judgment, will we all not stand together, where we will all be powerless? We have deprived girls of all their rights. They have no inheritance rights, and no rights related to their husbands. They are also victims of forced marriages.”

The Deputy Foreign Minister added that girls are not allowed to obtain education, cannot go to mosques, and are barred from schools and universities. Even religious schools are off-limits to them. He further stated that there is no acceptable justification for closing the doors of education to girls and that there never will be one.
