PESHAWAR: A senior official of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Peshawar on Friday.
Deputy Assistant Director Fahd was targeted in the parking area of the NADRA office in Hayatabad and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
According to police, the attackers opened fire on the officer before fleeing the scene.
Police personnel examined the crime scene and collected evidence, while an operation has been launched to track down and arrest those involved in the killing.
