LAHORE: Renowned senior actor Khalid Butt passed away after a protracted illness.
Veteran Pakistani actor and director Khalid Saleem Butt breathed his last in Lahore, his family said Thursday. The senior actor died due to complications related to renal and liver ailments. As per the family announcement, the funeral prayer for Mr. Butt will be held in Asar prayer in Lahore
Khalid Butt started his career in 70s, and has featured in several films, and TV series. He entered showbiz world as an assistant director and appeared in number of dramas, films, and theater.
Government of Pakistan awarded Pride of Performance for his artistic services.
Some of his famous projects include Jangal Pura, Boota to Toba Tek Singh, Landa Bazaar.
His journey in the entertainment industry commenced in 1970, when he not only showcased his acting prowess but also ventured into directing.
Throughout his illustrious career, Khalid Butt graced the screens with memorable performances in notable drama serials such as “Teesra Kinara” “Neelay Hath,” and “Boota From Toba Tek Singh.”
