WEB DESK: A report from a British defence journal has disclosed the serial numbers of four Indian Rafale fighter jets allegedly shot down by Pakistan during military engagements in May, raising questions about India’s claims of air superiority.
The investigative article, featured in the British defence publication Key Aero, detailed that the Indian Air Force lost four Rafale aircraft in a 52-minute aerial confrontation with Pakistan. The jets were identified by their serial numbers: BS-001, BS-021, BS-022, and BS-027.
The journal highlighted that India has not provided clear photographic evidence to substantiate claims about these serial numbers, casting doubt on the nation’s narrative.
It also mentioned that Pakistan’s strategic multi-domain operations effectively incapacitated the Indian Air Force, leaving Indian pilots unable to counter the coordinated assault.
The report went on to outline significant losses suffered by India during the conflict, including the four Rafale jets, along with MiG-29 and Su-30 fighters and a Heron drone. Additionally, it was alleged that on May 10, a Pakistani JF-17C Block III aircraft managed to neutralize and destroy India’s S-400 air defence system stationed in Udhampur.
Furthermore, the report asserted that Pakistan’s cyber warfare units disrupted almost 96 percent of India’s social media networks and digital infrastructure. This operation reportedly exemplified an unprecedented fusion of cyber warfare and conventional military tactics by an air force.
