Sethi Contacts PM Over Punjab Caretaker CM Demand To Pay Security Expenses


Lahore:Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi on Sunday telephoned to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Najam Sethi contacted the PM trying to break the deadlock with the Punjab government over security expenditures of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight’s Lahore and Rawalpindi.

Sethi in his contact with the premier, briefed him on the issue of security expenses, while PM Shehbaz assured the PCB chief of complete support and assistance.

The PCB chairman said that the matches will have to be shifted to Karachi if the Punjab government does not stop demanding money for security, refusing to fulfil the demands.

Sethi said that the PSL is a national tournament and the national institutions are responsible for its arrangements.

On the other hand Punjab’s interim Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi insisted that his cabinet is not willing to back off from the security expenditures for holding the tournament.
