The country is in the grips of severe and cold all across and snow in many cities in the upper areas with mercury dropping to minus 12 degree centigrade in Skardu. The Met Department has forecast more rains and snow.
During the next 24 hours rains are expected to lash Islamabad, upper areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtwankhwa province, northern Balochistan, FATA, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan. Thunder storms are also expected to lash some parts of southern Punjab.
Snowfall will continue in the hilly areas of the country over the next 24 hours.
During the last 24 hours thunder showers lashed some areas of Balochistan, Punjab, upper FATA, Khyber Pakhtwankhwa and Sindh provinces with snow on hills.
Skardu was the coldest city of Sunday with minus 12 degree centigrade with minus 10 recorded in Kalam and minus seven degree in Astore and Qalat.
