Severe heat expected in Karachi; Other cities experience weather changes

WEB DESK: The Meteorological Department has forecasted extremely hot and dry weather in Karachi over the next 24 hours.

According to the Metrological department, the maximum temperature in the city could reach between 39°C and 41°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 29.8°C. Humidity levels are projected at 79%, with sea breezes blowing at a speed of 3 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, Islamabad and surrounding areas are expected to experience heavy rainfall and hailstorms. Most districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are anticipated to remain hot and dry; however, areas like Mansehra, Kohistan, and Abbotabad are predicted to see thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rain.

Similarly, most districts in Punjab are expected to stay hot and dry, but regions such as Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, and Khushab are forecasted to receive heavy rainfall and hailstorms.

Parts of Sindh and Balochistan are likely to experience extremely hot and dry conditions, while Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to see strong winds and thunderstorms accompanied by rain.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning to the public, cautioning about possible damage to weak infrastructure such as electric poles, trees, vehicles, and solar panels due to storms, gusty winds, hail, thunder, and heavy rainfall.
