ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Monday that the Shaban moon was not sighted across the country.
Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad confirmed that Shaban-ul-Muazzam 1447 Hijri will begin on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. He reviewed reports in Islamabad with committee members, technical experts, and religious scholars, during a meeting organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs at Kohsar Block.
No moon sighting testimonies were reported, aligning with earlier predictions by astronomers and SUPARCO. As a result, Shab-e-Barat will be observed on February 3, 2026.
