Muhammad Rizwan made his century in 97 balls while he remained unbeaten on 131 with eight fours and three sixes.
Abdullah Shafique has made a splendid ton against Sri Lanka’s mountain like target of 345 runs while he caught after scoring 113 runs on 103 balls which included 10 fours and three sixes.
A valuable partnership of 147-runs between Abdullah Shafique and Muhammad Rizwan saved Pakistani innings as two top batters Imam Ul Haque and skiper Baber Azam lost their wicket on a score of 37 runs.

Sri Lanka decision opted to bat proved fruitful as the side scored 345 off 9 in 50 overs in ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 which included gorgeous tons of Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama here at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
While opening batsman Pathum Nissanka made half century and bowled out at 51.

The tremendous partnership between Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama cemented Lankans batting line up reaching a whopping score of 344 runs.
Kusal Mendis disastrous century included 14 fours and 6 sixes while he made 122 runs.
On the other hand Sadeera Samarawickrama made a brilliant century in 82 balls which included 11 fours and two sixes while he scored 108 runs.

Pakistani bowling could not perform well as they ate up 344 runs in the hands of Lankans batters.
Pakistani bowlers Hassan Ali was top bowler as he got four wickets whereas Haris Rauf took two wickets.
Besides that Shadab Khan, Muhammad Nawaz and Shaheen Shah Afridi sent one Sri Lankan batters each to pavilion.
