Shah Mahmood Qureshi summoned in May 9 incitement and riot cases

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court has summoned Shah Mahmood Qureshi, a PTI leader, in person for the eight cases related to the May 9 incitement and riot incidents. The court has also requested prosecution arguments and records for these cases.

Judge Manzar Ali Gul of the ATC Lahore heard the bail petitions, with Shah Mahmood Qureshi represented by Advocate Rana Muddassar Umar.

During the hearing, the prosecution did not submit the case records to the court. The prosecutor stated that, due to busy schedules in jail trials, they were unaware of Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s bail status. The prosecutor requested the court to grant time to provide records and arguments.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s lawyer stated that, they are ready with their arguments and accused the prosecution of using delaying tactics.

Subsequently, the court postponed the hearing to June 16, summoning Shah Mahmood Qureshi in person for two cases. The hearing for the remaining six cases has been adjourned to May 26.
