MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has got permission to contest election.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leaders including Shah mahmood Qureshi got a big relief to participate in the general election, as the Election Tribunal Sindh has annulled the decision of the Returning Officer to reject the paper of shah Mehmood Qureshi and his son Zain Qureshi, Umar Ayub’s nomination paper have also been approved.
The Abbottabad Election Tribunal dismissed the petition filed against PTI candidate Umar Ayub from NA-18 Haripur, after which both Umar Ayub and Babar Nawaz were declared eligible to contest the election.
On the other hand, Haleem Adil has also been allowed to contest from NA-238, and the RO’s decision to reject nomination papers has been annulled, the Election Tribunal has given conditional permission to Mirza Akhtar Baig of PPP to contest the election.
Justice Adnan Al Kareem Memon remarked that if the dual citizenship has ended, submit an affidavit, if the affidavit is found to be false, the victory will be canceled after winning the election.
The Election Tribunal has also accepted the appeal of Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Arsalan Khalid from constituency NA-241 and allowed him to participate in the election.
