LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Shairf on Monday asked his political opponents to have some soul searching before giving lectures others on transparency and corruption.
Talking to a delegation of PML-N, the chief minister said that the Musharraf cronies had looted billions of rupees of Punjab Bank. Shahbaz Sharif said that the four years of PML-N’s government was example of transparency, service-delivery and honesty.
He said that the PML-N government led by Nawaz Sharif not only saved billions of rupees through transparency but also completed projects in record time.
He said that in the past the governments had looted national resources mercilessly and former dictator’s aides set corruption’s records in Punjab.
He said that the PML-N government was an example of transparency and fairness. International institutions were also acknowledging that corruption decreased in Pakistan, he added.
