Lahore (August 19, 2017): Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Saturday stopped PML-N leaders and members from making any adverse comment against the national institutions.
In a statement, the chief minister said that the party officials should not engage in speculations which could harm the honour of national institutions.
Shahbaz, the younger brother of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, said the country cannot afford any possible clash among national institutions.The Punjab chief minister, who is considered close to former interior minister and central PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, forbade the party leaders from making any speculation that may harm the prestige of the state institutions.
Talking to media today, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi reiterated the same, saying that there is no clash between the institutions and the government.
“There is no clash between the institutions and the government, this news only exists in the media,” said the prime minister while addressing the media during his visit to Quetta.
