KARACHI: Former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has praised the appointment of Shan Masood as the International Director of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), calling it an excellent decision. He also expressed his belief that Sarfraz Ahmed would be an ideal candidate to lead domestic cricket.
In a message shared on the social platform X, Afridi congratulated Shan Masood on his new role and described his appointment as a commendable choice by the PCB. He further advised the PCB, suggesting that Sarfraz Ahmed is the best suited to take charge of domestic cricket. Afridi emphasized that players are uniquely positioned to understand the challenges and needs of their teammates.
Afridi highlighted that entrusting domestic cricket’s leadership to an experienced player like Sarfraz would be a progressive move, given his deep understanding of players’ struggles and the pressures of the game. He reiterated his confidence that only cricketers can truly relate to the challenges within the sport and the concerns faced by fellow players.
