LAHORE: The former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi demanded on Monday the summoning of National Assembly session.
The senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, talking to media, said that party meeting was held under the Shehbaz Sharif leadership and decide to pressurize the government to summon NA session and brief the parliamentarians over the surge in petroleum prices.
“Government has camouflaged the parliament, PM is violating the constitution,” he alleged adding that government should brief the opposition over the implementation on National Action Plan (NAP).
Avoiding the clear answer over the military court, the former premier said, “Part has the same stance what is over the NAB.”
“The law regarding extension in military courts was only for the particular time and if the government wants to further extend it should be explained before the parliament,” Shahid said.
Assailing Sheikh Rashid, he said that he had been elected member NA for six times on the PML-N voters support, however, he has not even status of a councillor.
