Sharjeel demands PM to take notice on Power distribution companies issues, finds out durable solution

Karachi: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon on Tuesday blasted on electricity distribution companies over long load shedding in scorching heat of summer season.

Addressing the Sindh Assembly today, the Minister for information and transport said that heavy load shedding of 18 hours are being conducted in scorching heat of 50 degree centigrade and power companies don’t do any thing for providing relief to masses.

The Minister apprised that Sindh government has been providing solar energy to 4,00000 people.

Sharjeel Memon said that National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) is preparing to charge masses a whopping amount Rs 50 billion which is a total cruelty on the people.

He said that end the collective punishment and suggested that prepaid meters be introduced so people could pay with respect to their use of electricity.

Time has come that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif take the notice on the issue and think of durable solution of the problem, he demanded.
