Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance Shaukat Tareen tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday.
Sources said that the Finance Minister has quarantined himself at his residence after testing positive for covid-19 while he also set aside his duties for time being.
All the meetings including National Price Monitoring committee and Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) have been cancelled owing to the disease contracted by the Minister. Shaukat Tareen had to deliberate upon a 15-point agenda of the ECC.
Sources said that Shaukat Tareen had not attended the cabinet meeting yesterday.
