KABUL: The sighting of the Shawwal moon has been confirmed in Afghanistan, and Eid al-Fitr will be observed tomorrow.
According to Afghan media reports, Afghanistan’s Supreme Court announced that Thursday will mark the first day of Eid al-Fitr. The court stated that multiple witnesses in provinces including Farah, Helmand, and Ghor have confirmed seeing the Shawwal moon, and their testimonies have been deemed credible and reliable.
This confirmation paves the way for millions of Afghans to celebrate the festive occasion tomorrow, marking the end of Ramadan.
