KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has prohibited photojournalism and unauthorised audio-visual recording within its premises.
The restriction was announced through an official circular issued by the high court on Friday, barring photography and video recording in courtrooms, corridors and waiting areas.
Under the new directives, journalists will only be permitted to take photographs or record videos from a designated area allocated for media activities.
The circular makes it clear that media personnel cannot carry out photography or video recording at any other location inside the court building.
Those found violating the directives may face legal action, while their mobile phones or recording devices could also be confiscated, according to the notification.
