ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) and Minister for Narcotics control Shehryar Afridi has applauded the efforts of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) over its professional success, prevention of narcotics at local and international level.
Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) and Minister for Narcotics control Shehryar Afridi on Wednesday visited headquarters of ANF.
According to the ANF spokesman, DG ANF Maj Gen Arif Malik welcomed him along with other officers.
DG ANF Maj Gen Arif Malik in his briefing to the Federal Minister told that the ANF is busy around the country running campaigns against the eradication of drugs.
The spokesman said that DG informed the Minister that the department arrested as many as 828 persons in the current year after registration of 722 FIRs.
The Minister also informed about the operational success made by the ANF while Shahryar Afridi praised the department over its splendid performance, the spokesman added.
Shaharyar Afridi ensured the ANF to equalize their salaries and martyrs package with that of police and other law enforcement agencies.
