Islamabad: Vice-president Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sherry Rehman has said that such statement to set ablaze constitutional institute is highly condemnable.
Sherry Rehamn was responding on the allegations leveled by Railway Minister Azam Swati that the ECP takes bribes and said that the ECP should be set ablaze.
She expressed concerns over the allegations hurled on the ECP adding that the governmment is hurling the accusation on the ECP instead of accepting the objections raised by the ECP.
The former ambassador of Pakistan to the USA, said that the government should respond on the serious and basic objections raised by the ECP with arguments.
She said that the government’s behavior is inappropriate and worrying adding that the ECP is a constitutional institutions not a office of the ruling PTI.
