ISLAMABAD: Police crackdown against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) top leadership continues as PTI senior vice president Shireen Mazari was also taken into custody during a late night raid at her residence in Islamabad.
According to sources said, the police entered the house of the former federal minister located in E/7 area of the federal capital by jumping over the walls and arrested her. The PTI leader has been shifted to some undisclosed location after the arrest.
Shireen Mazari’s daughter Iman Mazari in a message on the social media website Twitter claimed that around 50 policemen raided their house and arrested her mother.
Iman Mazari also claimed that the doors of their house were broken by the policemen.
It is pertinent to mention here that after the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Al-Qadir Trust case, several PTI leaders have been taken into custody.
