Shutter down strike to be held against expensive electricity on Aug 28

Lahore: The Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Hafiz Naeem has said that shutter down strike will be held on August 28.

Holding a presser in Lahore at its party headquarter,the governments provided relaxation in income tax to the International Power Producers (IPPs).

the JI Chief Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman apprised despite ending four IPPs agreement have been imposed on the country.

The JI Chief said that fraud conducted with the nation on the cost of the electricity.

Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehaman said that there is no one to correct the matters of the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR). He said that nose will have to be tighten against the sugar mills owners.

He said that Asif Zardari used to say that there should not political prison adding that if urban areas robbers stop supporting the kacha areas robbers then Kachay areas robbers will not do any thing.

He said that the hefty electricity bills have made people half dead adding that the nation’s Rs 2000 billion paid to the IPPs not to generate electricity.

He said that concession of Rs 14 on the electricity bill even not equl to almond.

He said that if Sharif family left its IPPs then the electricity prices will decline fold many times.

He said that President was taking to disgruntle people on the extension while they don’t unite for electricity, education and health issues.

Hafiz Naeem said that a complete shutter down strike will be held on August 28 while he also appealed to business community to make the strike succesful.

He said that freelancers are going unemployed owing to closure of internet .
