KARACHI: The Sindh provincial government has sanctioned an extra subsidy of 14.9 billion rupees aimed at supporting wheat cultivators. Under this scheme, farmers owning up to 25 acres of land will be eligible to benefit from the financial aid.
The decision was finalized during a Sindh cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi. As part of the new measures, the subsidy rate for wheat farmers has been doubled, increasing from 1,000 rupees to 2,000 rupees per 40 kilograms of wheat.
This move is expected to provide significant relief to local farmers and boost wheat production in the region.
