KARACHI: Sindh Assembly on Wednesday passed Sindh Arms (Amendment) Bill 2016 unanimously.
The Assembly’s session was held here with Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani in the chair. A Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) lawmaker tabled Sindh Arms (Amendment) Bill 2016 in the house. The house passed the bill unanimously.
As per the law, there will be ban on selling of arms without CNICs. The arms dealer has to verify the thumb impression of the purchaser from National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
As per the law, basaltic signature will be mandatory for selling arms. At the time of sale of the arms, the dealer will be bound to fire two shots from the arm and will submit the casing of the bullets at forensic laboratory.
