Karachi (November 01, 2017): Incarcerated former Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon was brought to Sindh Assembly in an armored personnel carrier (APC) to attend Assembly session after Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani issued his production order.
The APC, wherein Sharjeel was brought to the Assembly, was decorated with flowers and rose petals.

The assembly session started here with Speaker Agha Siraj Khan Durrani in the chair. When Memon entered the Assembly hall, PPP MPAs accorded him rousing welcome with desk thumping and raising Jeay Bhutto slogans.
Sources said that today session, Police Services Rules and Hindu Marriage Act (Amendment Bill) would be tabled in the house.
The Assembly will also take up an adjournment motion of PML-F female MPA Nusrat Sehar Abbasi regarding Population Census.
It is to be mentioned here that before the session, Speaker Durrani issued production order of Sharjeel Memon, following which he was brought to the house in an APC.
It is to be mentioned here that the former Information Minister is facing a NAB reference of Rs5.76 billion corruption charges.
Memon and other co-accused in the reference were arrested following their interim bail was not extended by a Sindh High Court bench in the corruption case. Following their arrest, an accountability court had sent the accused to jail till Nov 4 on judicial remand.
