Sindh Assembly will not approve new province at all: Sharjeel Memon

Karachi: Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon has categorically said that the Sindh Assembly will not approve a new province at all.

Talking to media on Wednesday after on site visit of Yellow Line BRT, Sharjeel Memon claimed that constitutionally the new province can’t be created.

The Minister said that the people leave behind such things to create controversy while he claimed that the Sindh government even standing on a single feet will continue to do work for the people.

He said that a campaign was lauched against the Sindh government over situation errupted after the heavy rains in Karachi.

He said that the media channels belonging to political parties were running the campaign against the Sindh government.

He said that we have complaints with the some media channels which raised questions on the Sindh government but not on the Punjab government.

He said that the situation in Punjab worsened very much after the floods while he said that Sindh government is ready for providing any assistance to Punjab if it needed.

He also said that if the flood water entered the Sindh then we are prepared to tackle it.

The Minister said that we will complete main corridor of red line BRT very soon, while traffic issues will significantly lower down with the completion of the yellow line BRT.

He apprised that double-decker buses will arrive next month in Karachi while pink scooter and EV taxi schemes are going to kick off soon.
